In the beginning...

So somewhere along the line this week I decided to begin a blog, this is it.  I was sitting in my basement, newly remodeled, or so it could be called.  The basement at the very least feels that way since the old clunker of an oil burning furnace is gone, along with the gigantic oil tank and the shiny new fuel efficient, microscopic in comparison, natural gas furnace is in it's place.  

So I thought why not go ahead and begin putting down what would I hope will become a public journal of sorts.  Just a few thoughts here and there.  It'll probably have a few stories about my kids, some random observations of the world, about the town I live in, the people there, who knows.  This might turn out to be a pretty selfish en devour, purely for my own reading, but why not!  I started to get bored squeezing in all my thoughts into my Facebook status.
